Kitchen Crafts with Edible Photo Prints…did you know you can eat your photos?
Want to amaze your friends and family members with your photography? Topp their birthday (or wedding 😉 cake with an edible picture!
Here’s how the magic performs: you first scan the photos and then print the pictures on edible Icing Sheets. Use your creativity and produce incredible looking toppings to personnalize cakes, cookies and cupcakes.
Printing edible photo cakes transfers from your computer and printer is similar to printing an image, to the exception that you will be using a dedicated printer (very important not to contaminate the printer heads), Edible Printer Ink Cartridges and Edible Printer Frosting sheets.
Rest assured, Edible Printer Frosting Sheets and Edible Printer Inks, are FDA, EEC and Kosher Approved.
Once you printed your icing sheet, you peel off the backing and lay the sheet on top of your cake.
The best things about these sheets is that they merge right into the white frosting of the cake giving you no trouble (to the contrary of rice sheets) when having to cut the cake.
Many online and offline companies offer the service of printing the edible photo sheets to lay on top of your icing, but you can also buy the equipment, if you have the budget, to do it yourself and by the same token, dwelve into kitchen crafts.
The Icing Sheets do not need refrigeration and should remain fresh up to a year as long as you keep them sealed in a reclosable bag. They contain a minimum of sugar content. Check out the ingredient label for detailed information.
It is quite an amazing and easy technique that was not available at the time I celebrated my first communion…
Do not hesitate to show off your edible creations by leaving a link to your artwork in the comment section below.

He thought it was the coolest thing. I was surprised how easily this went on. Would buy this again in a heartbeat. Definitely read those instructions and make sure you don’t ‘pull’ on it. It’s fragile but fantastic.”) Enjoy!
